CHARITY TOUR TO THAILAND, CAMBODIA, VIETNAM & INDONESIA with Ven. Thupten Donyo

 

Join us on an unforgettable tour to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia. This is the adventure of a lifetime, and we can’t wait to explore these beautiful countries with you.

Tour Dates: November 1 – 16,2025

Minimum Participants: 10 members (to run the tour)

We’ve put together an unforgettable itinerary that includes cultural experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in the local culture. Here’s a brief overview of the tour highlights:

Day to Day Itinerary :

Day 1: Bangkok Arrival, Transfer to hotel, Free to relax.

Day 2. Bangkok City Tour 

Day 3: Bangkok – Drive to Pattaya, Half day city tour

Day 4: Day trip to Coral Island
Day 5: Pattaya – Drive back to Bangkok

Day 6: Bangkok, Thailand – Siem Reap, Cambodia flight  ✈️

Day 7: Full day to explore Angkor Temples

Day 8: Siem Reap, Cambodia – Hanoi, Vietnam flight

Day 9: Hanoi City tour

Day 10: Day trip to Ninh Binh: Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital

Day 11: Transfer to Halong Bay and Overnight on cruise 

Day 12: Enjoy sightseeing in Halong Bay, Drive Back to Hanoi

Day 13: Hanoi, Vietnam – Jakarta, Indonesia flight  ✈️

Day 14: Jakarta City Tour – Fly to Yogyakarta  ✈️

Day 15: Visit Borobudur Temple – Fly back to Jakarta  ✈️ 

Day 16: Depart Jakarta back to home.

Tour Cost: 

Trip cost is $3914 + $880( Inter-Asia flights) = $4794.00 per person which includes lodging, meals and local transportation. All prices are based on shared rooms, twin beds. Please note the cost does not include your international airfare. If you would like a single room, there will be an additional $770 per person.

ImportantTo secure your spot, please send us your registration form and submit your deposit of $1500 by May 30, 2025. We have a minimum limit of 10 members required to run the tour. Spaces are limited, so we recommend confirming your participation early.

Please mention the Charity Tour 2025 in the memo of your check.

Total payment must be made by August 15, 2025. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: The cancellation fee will be applied as below: –  

– 45 to 30 days before trip commencement: 50% of the total trip cost

– Under 30 days before trip commencement : 100% of the total trip cost.

She will give you suggestion as per our group schedule. If you would like to book your flights on your own, please check with her so that she can suggest you the schedule of rest of the group.

If anyone wishes to join the tour from other states or other countries, they are welcome to do so. However, registration is still required, and all participants must arrive in Bangkok as per tour schedule.

Important: Please note: During the tour, we will be staying in 3-4 star hotels depending on the locations, and they are often fully booked during tourist season in November. We will make our greatest effort to make you as comfortable as possible. We recommend all participants to check with their health insurance carrier as for coverage abroad and highly recommend you to purchase travel insurance.

The tour cost is based on a typical group size of at least 10 participants. A minimum of 10 participants are necessary to operate this tour. The cost is based on shared room.
If the number of members joining the trip is in odd numbers, then we will rotate the single room with each member at each destination. Therefore we encourage you to invite your friends and family to join you.

Past Tours

The Delek Foundation’s charity tours have covered various locations in Nepal and India, mainly focusing on remote Himalayan communities. Some notable locations include:

Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu: The tour often begins with a visit to this monastery, providing a cultural immersion experience.

Solukhumbu Region: This rugged area is home to several remote villages and monasteries, where the foundation has provided support such as solar water heaters and aid to monks and local communities.

Salleri: A small mountain town serving as a base for exploration in the Solukhumbu region, offering stunning views of nearby peaks.

Dhading: This is a remote village in the Dhading district, where the foundation has provided assistance to schools and students facing challenges like long walks to school and inadequate clothing.

Kathmandu: The capital city is a hub for cultural experiences and a starting and ending point for the tours.

Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its biodiversity. Tour participants have enjoyed wildlife experiences like viewing rhinoceroses and elephants.

Pokhara: A picturesque city located near the Annapurna mountain range, offering breathtaking views and cultural experiences.

Throughout these locations, the Delek Foundation has made a meaningful impact through various initiatives to improve local communities’ lives.

Past Tours

Ven. Thupten Donyo started this Foundation on His Holiness Dalai Lama’s advice during the visit in San Francisco in 2007. That year Ven Donyo was able to organize series of talks by His Holiness Dalai Lama at Bill Graham Hall in San Francisco. During the visit, His Holiness advised him to help uplift the lives of the Himalayan children.
